Brett,
Where the heck were you when I was paying money for comedy writers? Your dry (but somewhat moist around the edges) wit is killing me. Sell it!!

Oh Yeah..... Mary's Soundelux U195 is an excellent investment as an upgrade for any male or female voice. _________________ Wild Willie Edwards

I'm not quite sure that I'd want a fish grown in a garden.
Usually I prefer mine to have previously lived near some water _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

Mary, did you ever use the fat mode on the U195? It's also my go-to mic for VO, but I was never able to use the fat mode because of the sub-sonic noise. Then someone suggested using another mic mount: http://www.enhancedaudio.ie/enhancedaudioproducts.htm
It has made a huge difference. If I get around to it I'll post a file, I just got the mount on Friday., so I'm still playing, but I feel like I have another mic with a completely different sound now.
I've also been curious about Lawson mics. The same person who suggested the different mic mount also suggested trying a Lawson, which lends them a lot of credibility in my book. Maybe I won't demo it until I find out if I owe anything in taxes this year! _________________ Enjoy life, this is not a rehearsal.

Oh no, another thing to want that costs money!!
By the way here's the direct link for actually buying this wonder mount: http://www.lasvegasproaudio.com/m600.html
It sounds very intriguing.
I did try the fat mode a long time ago although I don't remember the result.
Do your taxes early - it takes 3 weeks to get a Lawson mic. |
