I recently bought an old Shure 556s.
It's beautiful mic, but the foam inside has deteriorated and falls apart when it's touched.
Anybody know where to find similar foam, in a sheet, so I can replace it myself? It's awfully thin, about 1/8" I'd say.
I tried Shure, but no call back so far.
Thanks,

Why not get it from Shure? They stock stuff like that. |

Checked the SHURE website... they didn't carry the foam windscreen for the 556S. I did find the SHURE 556S spec sheet. You may have to find a local audio shop that may carry bulk foam sheets. _________________ "Bailey"

Thanks Bailey for the Spec Sheet. That's cool to have. I found other models on Coutant's web site, but not specifically for the 556s. Nifty!
