thanks for the link to that story.
a nice little tie-in for us modern day voicers: i remember reading that one of the production team mentioned the boy as being "a natural", but that they soon had to refrain from showing him much in the way of sketches or pencil test animation because he started "acting". it was only when they got him back to working with just the director that he delivered the sound they wanted.
hmmm..."stop acting". seems i've heard that one before.
btw, the writer of that news story missed my own favorite thumper line: "hey, look! the water's stiff!" _________________ rowell gormon

To expand on Diane's link, here's a story about Donald, Dunagan, who did the voice of Bambi. He grew up to be the youngest drill instructor in the Marine Corp:
