A few weeks ago I plugged a clock radio into the same power strip for my MacBook. When I put my phones on I could hear interference (electrical hum) that disappeared once I unplugged the clock radio. But now the hum is back, and I can't troubleshoot. I have an MBox-2, and when I put my phones on (even without launching PT) I can hear the hum. The noise "jumps" a little bit when I click on different applications, or when I scroll down my in-box, even when I scroll down this page. Suggestions?

Get yourself a power or sometimes called line conditioner. Monster makes some, Furman (not to be confused with furalex)and a few others make them. A good one will filter out that line noise. It will also filter out the noise you don't hear and that all goes to help the overall audio quality.

Or do yourself one better. Pick up a UPS that has a line conditioner built in. That way your computer can have battery backup in case of a power outage, and you have filtered power to your equipment.
On a similar note, those that have home routers, etc... that use those cheap power bricks can get a bit of added stability when using a power conditioner. Since those little power supplies just barely put out what can be considered DC, the line conditioner helps with cleaning up the signal going in to improve the signal coming out. I have had a noticable improvement in reliability since getting one.
