VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Hello. I'm a new member. I do a little VO (probably will be doing more as time goes by). I'm not a long-time VO, so I'm not sure of all the tricks of the trade yet. The discussions here are fascinating and I love the insights and sense of humor I see here.

My question is: what do you all do about hay fever? I was supposed to do some VO for a short project today and have had to put it off because today I woke up with the allergy attack of the ages. Fortunately there's a really flexible deadline for the work, and I hope this'll pass in a few days.

Anyway... aside from the usual Claritin and FLonase, what can I do?

I love my neti pot (to the point of fanaticism- just ask Liz).

When I was in radio I was on my back at least a week every winter with strep....allergies always made me sound like Brenda Vaccaro in spring and fall...I haven't lost one day due to medical issues since I started using the neti pot.

Then again, I think Mr. Christi recently had a thread in the registered users' forum called STUFFED that covered this topic pretty well. I'd include a link, but I'm not sure if it'll work right or not from here.

It's one or two pages in, though.

I'll go look for that. I did a search on drugs and found the thread about what prescription and over-the-counter drugs do to us, but I didn't use the word "stuffed"... I'll try that.
