Forgive me but I must vent just this once...
Did anyone else get the automated e-mail after submitting an audition on a well-known website in which the production company claims they are considering you for the gig, but the client still wants to "listen to a few more voices"......
...but to be eligible for work they require a one-time $25 "listing fee" to be part of their "talent roster"....then directs you to their rate card of $20 for a "local", $30 for a "regional" and WOW $40 for a "national" spot....????? WHEN THE ORIGINAL AUDITION THAT STARTED THE WHOLE MESS ADVERTISED $100 FOR A :15!!!
Talk about bait and switch!
When I didn't reply they sent an automated e-mail in which they "highly recommended" that I reply to the e-mail. 
Unbelievable. Certain VO sites should do a better job of screening their clients. It was somewhat funny and but much more insulting. |
