When out with the dog I sometimes look out to sea and try to calculate how much time we have to get home or before we get a good soaking.

Nice DB! I've got some cool pics of lightning I took earlier this year when a heavy storm was nearby. I'll try to get a couple of shots up later. |

D,
Wow, that must have been a heck of a storm. We live just south of the NH border in Ma and we heard that parts of NH (Manchester) got smacked on Thursday. We didn't see a bit of it here, but early Fri am. it rained a bunch.
We needed it. _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

Yea CC, We got pounded Thursday night ...I was on "pump patrol" all night - basement (and studio) tend to flood when it pours and I'm not manning the pump...so evening showers mean very little sleep for this VO mama. _________________ Moe Egan

Moe,
Couldn't you get some kind of automatic pump installed so you don't have to do it yourself? _________________ Be well,

Ya know Bob...there must be something out there to keep the water out....I have a contractor's pump, lots of garden hose and a grill covered "trench" in front of our garage..when it rains hard, I plug the pump in, checking frequently for clogs and making sure it doesn't suction itself to the floor of the trench..keep an ear open all night for when rain comes hard or stops (to unplug pump) ....ya kind of get used to it...Is this a job for a sump pump-or would that make too much sense? _________________ Moe Egan

Storms? What are they? I had to look that word up. So, water comes out of the sky? Nope, we don't have anything like that here in the Carolinas as evidenced by this recent picture at Lake Norman just up the road.
We are on manditory restrictions. No watering outside at all, no washing of cars, etc...
We here are doing our part by sharing showers. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.
