1. Cut a pro-level demo
2. Be able to deliver what the demo promises
3. Record the spot
4. Cash the check.
Repeat steps 2 through 4 ad infinitum. Isn't that all the VO certification one needs? _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

Easy when you put it like that Amy. So few are able to do it though.
No one needs lose any sleep over lack of certification by SAVOA and I doubt anyone will for some time. It's no more than a club run by people with a vision for something better in the Voice Over market, it'll evolve. Should Voice Overs choose to join it won't be out of any Amish sentiment "Come out from among them and be ye separate"
At the moment the thing that is making me smile the most is a thread on voiceoversavvy announcing the fact that I am a friend of SAVOA. It was very nice to be asked and I was happy to accept the invitation but what has made me smile more and more as time as passed is the responses to the post. |

So until it evolves, membership and a metro card will get me on a subway?

To further the threadjack, I'll just put out there that we will be selling girl scout cookies again this year and would be happy to "feed your fix." _________________ We have nothing to fear but fear itself.
