A friend of mine introduced me to the Oblique Strategies cards about twenty years ago and we programmed the BBS we ran to load a different "card" each time a user came to the main command prompt. Kind of a novel thing to do, but after the mental blocks I hit recently, I thought it would be a cool thing to have in the studio for future use.
Basically, the way they're used (as described in the link) is you draw a card when you come to a mental block and either do what it says or let it lead you to another thought. Eno used these in the studio quite often and other folks have said it's helped them out. Personally, I think it's a fun accessory. A lot of people have attempted to make Flash and Java versions of the decks, but I think I would go for the MacOSX dashboard widget. _________________ Greg Littlefield
