GAAAH!!!

It drives me nuts to hear stuff like this. It's right along the lines of Disney's declaration from some time ago that they wouldn't be producing any more hand-drawn animated movies. When are people going to wake up and stop blaming their poor box-office performances on things like character gender or the method used to produce the images that flash at 24 frames per second onto the screen? Admit it, Hollywood...you need BETTER STORIES!!!

Regarding the Variety story lead about the latest three female-led movies from WB, I can't speak to the Jodie Foster flick, but the other two were fairly unappealing films in the eyes of moviegoers, so he may have said something stupid out of frustration at the losses. No one in their right mind tells half their customers to "go away".

Of course, how many Hollywood CEO's are in their right mind?
