From the movie Spriggan.

Great art direction, heinous plot.

DB -- Very Nice. That's a pic of Colonel MacDougall, right?
I watch way too much Anime with my daughter.

Thanks for sharing.

That's Jean-Jacques Mondo.
I also have this image of a few moments before the snow slide:

and another where Jean-Jacques is carrying the hero, Yu, on his back.

We're looking at Wolf's Rain these days. One of my students is as nuts about anime as I am and he gave me the whole honkin' series on DVD.
A lot of the same crew that made Cowboy Bebop. Very nifty— compelling story, great music. Good art— actually make that GREAT art.
In places.

DB -- Ah. It just looked like the guy in the first pic had a red and blue eye.

Your other pics are great as well.

I've watched Wolf's Rain , far too many times then I can count. My daughter has that one, as well as a whole library of others. Great story and artwork. I really dig the English Dub with Johnny Bosch, Crispin Freeman, Mona Marshall and the rest. I've had the pleasure of meeting both Johnny B. and Crispin and they are pretty cool guys. I've seen Cowboy Bebop even more times since they keep showing it on TV.

If you are an Anime fan, you should check out Anime Vegas one of the years. I'm sure the folks there would love to have ya. Its sort of like Voice2007 of the Anime world. My daughter and I have been there twice now; in 2005 and this year. In 2005 it was just insane. There were over 30 English VO actors from the Anime business at the convention, and at one point they had a panel with all of the VO artists on one stage. Pure madness.

Thanks,

Jon
