I would love to hear any and all critiques of my demo please; commercial and promo. I have been getting work just not consistent work. One coach says it's great another says it need work, I am very confused. Any insights you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The demo is ok, but that's not enough. It's streets ahead of most demo's which is why you're getting jobs here and there. The comments from coaches probably shows where the coaches are in their ability rather than where you are.

From your demo I need to hear what sets you apart from other voices, I don't. I need to hear you talk to me or you talking to someone, I don't. I need to take away with me an abiding memory of your sound so I can tell someone else "the voice you need is.....", I haven't.

Forget that you are a Voice Over, become a magcian and cast your spell on the listeners. The people with money to spend on you need to hear the twinkle in your eyes not your ability to read out loud.

IMHO the demo showcases your very nice delivery, which is engaging and pleasant, and at the same time does not display a range of emotional expression.

That being said, you are obviously getting some work with this demo.

To broaden the opportunities, it would seem that a broader range of expression is needed. ( the "range" thing is an issue for myself as well and from what I can see is fairly common among relative newbies)

Probably not all that different from what Banksey said, but there you have it for whatever its worth.....

That's my two cents....I'm still working on this stuff too so don't feel like the Lone Ranger!
