While searching for information on vocal exercises. I found this wonderful little book, written I believe in 1886.
It's available for download at:
1,M1" target="_blank">http://books.google.com/books?id=lsAcgGJghvoC&pg=PA132&lpg=PA132&dq=vocal+exercises+for+speakers&source=web&ots=Tbb2W52wqN&sig=DQ_CnBC7x8rd_ecVByF0sbyzPss#P 1,M1
Some of his observations are pretty funny.
Enjoy,
Craig
ps I didn't find much on specific vocal exercises. So's if ya got'em, forward 'em please!

Sorry for the delay, but thanks for posting this, Craig! That section of Google is a great site to browse. I've found lots of regional history books there for my research. Good to see it has some "old world" books for the voice, too! _________________ Greg Littlefield

This is excellent. I just started reading it. I am especially impressed with the differences between the glottis of males and females. I will pay extra attention on caring for and how not to "break" my voice. I am certain some little or large amount of insight will come in handy. Thank you for sharing this post here! _________________ Bobbin Beam
