Nope, not bitter at all. Just pointing out a flaw in the system. And apparently you can't refute it. _________________ Jeff

Good point Jeff... and a good observation for Ben.
Although most amusement parks welcome the multitudes, they realize that a "customer" waiting in a line, is not spending money. I believe that the FastPass was invented to give the "customer" a feeling that they could get in the front of the line "without waiting". It's like a false "benefit" they are giving us... but it makes us feel good. If I'm not in line "waiting", I could be waiting in another attraction... buying food... or buying other junk I don't need. Disneyland executives are hoping I'm spending money. _________________ "Bailey"

I was just at Disney World less than a year ago and we liked the Fast Pass system. Two rides in an hour versus only one. Line standing algorithm or not....I liked it.
Here is the solution....go to Disney World and go during October. It is a great time to go. Lines are short and you can use the Fast Pass system to ride even more. No massive congestion either.
Never been to Disneyland, so I can't speak to the conditions at all.

You're right on that point, Ben. DisneyWorld has larger walkways and is designed to hold more people. So the FastPass system doesn't give the appearance of extra congestion.
I believe the Fastpass system was put into place by Paul Pressler, the then-head of Disneyland. And he comes from a retail background, so it would make sense that he would've wanted people in shops instead of waiting in line, as Bailey says. _________________ Jeff

Worked just as well there in March 2004, Ben. _________________ Greg Littlefield
