Unfortunately, that's exactly what that "teacher" is doing to the student. And, then they wonder why kids don't respect their teachers, sometimes. With examples like this... sheesh. _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

Quite.
Ah yes.....but collectively we are 'Heroes (and Heroines) of Voice' and therefore able to mess with the chi circulation of evil teacher dudes (and dudettes).
Also, that teacher was a) wrong, b) unimaginative, c) untrusting and d) not very literate.........I wouldn't say illiterate, cos that would be abusive and I don't want detention. _________________ www.davidmonteath.com

| Quote: | Recently, a file was uploaded to the Internet purporting to be a copy of a letter from Big Spring High School to a student regarding a two hour detention. The uploaded letter was an altered version of a detention letter sent to a student. Unfortunately, privacy concerns prevent the School District from giving a full explanation of the nature and source of the letter’s alteration at this time. The Big Spring School District does have confirmation that the discipline letter was altered.
The reports, blogs and other sources on the Internet indicating that a Big Spring student was assigned detention for using the Firefox internet browser instead of Internet Explorer are untrue and were based on the fake letter. Detention is assigned in our schools after appropriate warnings are given, if students continue to engage in non-academic activities or fail to follow a teacher’s directive during class time discipline can and will be assigned.
Sincerely yours,
John C. Scudder

Ahh detention. That brings back memories.
I believe half way through my 8th grade year I already had enough detention for the rest of the year.
I was so misunderstood. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.

I forgot I had detention so I didn't get out of school until an hour later.
I'll put something in her locker. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.
