I believe the Mrs. is very high maintenance, so he feels the pressure to keep doing whatever it takes to keep her happy.

I remember from my time with Cathy that she was like that. Always going on and on about shoes and everything. Also very frazzled when swimsuit season came. It drove me nuts.

Wait a second...that was the comic strip Cathy. My bad.

Got tired of it. I bailed. Haven't looked back and am glad I didn't.
