I'd like some Miracle Grow for Christmas.

Caryn,

You already have all the Miracle Grow you need between your ears. You're very, very good and getting better all the time. As Philip has noted a number of times, there is and has been for some time now, a move to quality in the voiceover business. Keep up the excellent work and the growth will continue to come.

UPDATE

V123 keep assuring me that "my satisfaction is their highest priority" yet seem to disagree with me that

1. ratings should be compulsory on every single audition in order to have an accurate sample size.

2. voice seekers interests should not be equal to the voiceover artist

I get the feeling that they aren't interested in making life a little harder for the voice seeker in order to improve the lot of the voiceover artist.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks Bob!! Just the boost I needed. It's just very scarey to me that a majority of my work comes from web sites. I'm working to change that though.

Tombrom, sounds like you got the uniform answer. They should just dump the whole ratings thing (as it works now).

Thanks Caryn.
I am joining Arlene Thornton in LA, so hopefully she'll keep me busier than V123, which I find is like a gambling addiction. You say "no more" and then yous ee something that you think you can nail.

If you're getting good rating I imagine you like the system. If you get a bad one like I did, I don't like it!

I think the answer is that every single audition should be rated, otherwise you get what tends to happen on travel review sites - a whole heap of whinging and complaining because of one small problem. "The checkout staff at 2am seemed disinterested in checking us in etc etc"

Much like the ever present "pothole" on the road to success. We keep trying to avoid it, until we realize all we need is a better route.
