Four pounds of coffee and $60 worth of gift cards to Starbucks! That's coffee to have at home, as well as some cheap dates!

Anyone know anyone? Wink

Scott, you fellow java junkie you!

We feasted like kings, Wine, Wiskey and sparkling cider flowed freely, my bro and sis in law came over, and we played with our new toys. Young son got 'snow block' maker and made a snow throne for himself after dinner.... and reigned over the front yard for a while.
Santa left an XBox360...I kicked a** Marvel Ultimate Alliance as The Thing (my all time FAV super hero) Time now to rid the kitchen of the EEEEvil Dirty Dishes. Wish me luck friends. Deebs, if I don't make it back, I want you to have the Jamesons. cool

Thank you, my sister.

The last of our guests has just left, and it was a joy all day.

Santa brought us a Wii, and my husband got me a Wii hoodie sweatshirt. Über-geekette!! perfect— and a complete surprise.

We also got some very nifty new Nintendo DS games, so I don't really know what I want to mess about with now. Guitar Boy, who is out with grandparents is bringing home the guitar controllers for Guitar Hero so we can rip on GH III later on.

I got Younger Bear a cel from the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon show. He also received a DVD set of Cris Angel's Mindfreak show (2nd season!).
Lots of DVDs here: The Best of the Colbert Report, Seasons 1 and 2 of Northern Exposure, Blazing Saddles.

I don't know when I'll be able to get ANY work done.

We got a Wii at our house too and there was great rejoicing among the Souer boys as that box was opened. (We managed to keep it to just about the last thing opened.)

Isn't that the best fun Bob!? The second to last present to be opened was Halo 3 for XBox....eldest son opened it and gave me that look - you parents know the look - when they wonder how someone so simple is able to dress themselves in the morning....He held up the box...."Mom....we don't HAVE an XBox, this is for the wrong system"...."Oh....well, then you should open THAT present, behind the tree!!" Sticking out Tongue Three happy-dances broke out in unison!

I even played! I haven't played video games since The Hobbit gave me vertigo - you could make the whole world spin-.made me dizzy, Not a good thing.

Moe,

You're right. The best fun. And after several games of Wii bowling (low game 120, high game 212) I now know why people enjoy this game system so much. Great fun!

Merry Christmas everyone!! Sounds like it was just that in all of my dear friends' homes!!!

We had a great day... just the three of us (me, my hubby and my mother in law). I cooked a damn good dinner, if I do say so myself. While I'm cooking, my MIL is saying, "Oh darling, why are you working so hard? We could just have peanut butter sandwiches." I finally looked at her and said, "Why don't you just appreciate what I'm doing?" She's a pill. We did have a nice day regardless, chatting and playing with gifts.

I got lots of gift cards... Victoria's Secret from the MIL... which is a little creepy, but nice thought; TJ Maxx, and one to the outlet mall by our house from our husband. I'm goin' shoppin'!!! YAY!! Hubby got clothes, and... MIL got a photo printer (which is very cool) and ahem, the book "Etiquette" by Peggy Post... with a personal inscription and signed by Peggy herself (got to meet her last month).

I thought about getting my hubby a Wii... maybe next year. Or for his birthday in July.

Books, CDs, coffee, fudge, a gift card or two, clothes from the MIL, and a present-yet-to-be-delivered -- that was our holiday. Mostly we just slagged it out on the sofa and easy chair, reading, listening to music, eating as the spirit moved us. Then, at 5, we lit the charcoal and made a couple of steaks, chased with a good bottle of Australian red, some green beans and a potato. Brownies for dessert.

And,for those of you ladies who were in my neck of the woods a few weeks ago, Santa brought a gift certificate to Gibbet Hill Grill... Wink Wink Wink Wink
