A friend of mine on another forum is tearing his hair out trying to ID the tag voice in the Ghostbusters cereal spot (last spot in the clip, with the "box glows in the dark" tag).

A shot in the dark, I know. The spot is from '89, but I thought some of the more wizened folks here might have a clue.

Dave,

I'm old enough, but I'm sorry I don't recognize that voice.

Hi Dave,
I can't say I know either, but it was fun seeing those old spots. Just to think those are almost 19 years old- is mindboggling.

He does sound familiar. I'm thinking he's either a Chicago or LA radio personality. Almost sounds like John Landecker

To be honest, it is kind of a pukey 80's radio delivery. IMHO.

Diane, the thingy taken out of the cereal box is a Fred Flintstone CD.

Now you know that I am THAT old.

John "cereal-records" Landecker and "cereal records" truly is my middle name!
I don't think it's him, but I couldn't resist.

Write to Alan Snedeker at Snedeker Group advertising. He created what turned out to be an award-winning campaign and might remember or have records of who he used:
