Our prayer went denied— I hope it doesn't bode ill for the Pats! _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Deebs,
Sorry, I'm praying for a bit of that ill will.
I already know who the best team ever to play the game was, No need to give others false hopes. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.

Did anyone else notice the game was on both CBS and NBC? I thought my eyes were playing tricks and almost called the TV stations....
The end is near...

I think Mass Senator Kerry had something to do with that.
Equal opportunity football or something.

yeah there was a LOT of complaining that the game was only going to be on the NFL channel, so they caved. Simulcasting it to other stations was a smart idea since there were lots of ads for the NFL channel. _________________ Jeff

Having the Pats on at least two channels thanks to the meddling of a few congressmen proves that state-controlled media can be a good thing.
On the other hand, having the Pats on NFL Uber-Alles or whatever it's called is pure pay-per-Communism. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

After watching the game and getting a taste of what type of production, talent and entertainment value the NFL Network has to offer, I now see I'm not missing much. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.

Oh, I dunno. I thought the direction was really quite superb— really REALLY.
. . .and I like ol' Bryant Gumbel. (Except when he refers to time left on the clock as "regulation time" when the game isn't tied. He needs to stop that.) _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Well, them Pats looked like they were going down the dumper by the end of the first half. But, things got more exciting in the second half and then the Giants looked like THEY were going down the dumper.
So, I was kind of intrigued by the post-game coverage POV from the cameras following the players into the locker room via that LONG walk under the stands. That's the kind of view not many people see, or even think about. Usually all the attention is focused on the field and the teams socializing after the game (or making faces at each other).
Can't say I'm impressed with NFL network's coverage; it seems less personable in some ways than the Monday Night Football guys, but better than ESPN's 'casters. _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

The NFL Network had a game a few weeks back when Gumble was sick and Tom Hammond (who does the Notre Dame games on NBC) filled in... soooo much better than Gumble, though I'll say this Pats game was the best I've heard him. I like his HBO show but he's just not suited for play-by-play. Collinsworth is a superb analyst, however.
Oh, and congrats to the Pats... phenomenal comeback! _________________ Chris Rice - Noisemaker
