I can't face these demos alone...... sorry I got off on a tangent there. After some hard faced facts and cold reality I have taken a long hiatus to re learn and re do. Here are 2 demos to listen to. They are basically the same just a little different. Please critque...and let me know which one you like. Remember I'm just a beginner but I want to know what my family (TheVO-bb familia) thinks.....thanks in advance for your hep!

T'aint nothin' worse than hangin' yer demo out there and not getting any response.......so, just wanted to let you know that I listened to both as you suggested. I liked fundemo2 better. Don't know your "money voice" but that version seems to lead with more of your stronger voices...before getting into the character stuff. But that's enough from me. You'll benefit more from some of the experts that hopefully will comment. Good luck to you in '08.

Greg,

There's lots to like with both of these. If you produced them yourself, you're better at this than the average bear, that's for sure. I prefer the first demo marginally over the second, though I agree with Brett that the second one starts a bit stronger for you.

I'm hearing some really bad ringing/artifacting from either over-processing, noise reduction or over compression. It's very distracting.

Anyone else hear it?

I'm listening on my laptop.
You have some genuinely charming, engaging reads!

I liked the first demo's aural layout, except for the 1st cut.
Love the doggie in the first demo! Also liked the cowboy sound, but you need better copy. The dog's copy is better in the 1st demo.

Otherwise, it sounds like you're pushing too hard into your lower register sometimes.
Don't care for the opening of the 1st demo. It sounds like you're holding your breath— it's most noticeable behind the "T"s; it's most apparent in the first cut, but I hear it elsewhere, too.

Quickie things to remember:
Don't try too hard.
You need really fabulous copy to catch people's ears.
