Gosh, I'm so clueless. I had no idea that the arrangers for the conference had changed, etc.
Thanks for the update folks. I hope that with some new blood like me, Voice 2008 (or whatever the main meetup be) will be just as wonderful as 2007. _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

...all you need is warm beer, banana peels, and some other trash....works fine!!!
I know nothing more than y'all have already not said...(???)
My guess is James and Penney would have to move awfully fast to make it happen this year... FF would not be a participant in any way... and if it were to happen, it would most certainly be in SoCal...so any dreams of Charlotte, Atlanta, Florida, Chicago or elsewhere is moot. This is all just guessing on my part.
I agree that the magic of 2007 will be hard to repeat, but for all those who DIDN'T get to come....and for all those who would come AGAIN... some semblance of V'07 SOMEWHERE would be well worth a try.
Speakers are good. Equipment is fun.... but the community and the networking, and the camaraderie is the real draw.
We really DO hafta get the bowling in this time, though.

I vote Chicago for this new V thing. Call it V-Pro. Less classes on stuff we know and more hangin' out time sprinkled with a few top speakers and maybe some "show us your read" workshops with critiques etc.....and bowling.
And make it Friday night to Sunday so less time out of the studio.
Just my thoughts. _________________ Ben

I missed the 07 event so I am really looking forward to the 08 event no matter what it pans out to be.
As has been stated before, it's the PEOPLE that make it all so special. I'm a people, Deebs is a people, Kara, Uber Bob, Todd, Brett, Jeffrey, Caryn, Liz, Philip and all the others on this board are all people as far as I can tell. That means if enough of us attend, we can make it even better! The newness and uniqueness of 07 is forever in the past (unless we get the flux capacitor working) so let's look to VOICE 08 as being not as good, but BETTER! _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.
