I currently own a AKG Perception 100 at the moment, but I want to get something inexpensive with a little more kick.. Any suggestions? Is this a good mic to start out with so far?

Cam,
What would "a little more kick" mean in comparison to your current mic?
Go here and listen around. Then try some to hear how you sound on as many different mics as you can.
