Interesting. And now that a lot of states are getting rid of the computer voting booths, we maybe should look for several sources for these. _________________ Wild Willie Edwards

Hate to sound negative, but that thing looks like a waste of time to me. By the time you add the sound absorption treatment to the folding panels, it probably isn't going to fit in the handy dandy carrying case. It's too large and cumbersome to lug around on vacation and pointless for a home studio, where sound isolation is just as important as dampening the reflections. Of course, that's only my opinion. |

Put together on the same principle. Total cost about $25.00 _________________ Bobbin Beam

I was in OSH yesterday and had seen a collapsible similar to the one that Harlan lists and at $5.22 I just could not resist getting it. I already had the foam so I am not certain what the total cost is. The box is only 12x12x12 so it is a bit snug with the 12' foam panels. The Snowball fits nicely though.

I don't know if I'd ever want a humming fluorescent bulb that close to a mic.
Still, it is inspiring. I wonder if any old piece of suitcase luggage could be lined with folding side-wings, etc. Then you could carry gear in it too. The acoustic foam would double as a packing foam cushion lining. _________________ Carl Welden

It's a bit snug and almost impossible to see through that little hole to read copy. Other than that, two thumbs up!

Bill - Thanks for putting a smile on my face this morning. That was a bust.
I bet the acoustics are great in there though. |
