|
I continue to be shocked by the number of people who write to register and don't include a username and password.
Here is what the registration page says:
Quote: | To register for this board, send me a note with your choice of USER NAME (may have spaces) and PASSWORD
and tell me a little about your interest. This lets me know you're not a spammer or 'bot.
Send to DBCooper@vo-bb.com |
In the RULES section of this board it says in Registering for this joint and Account info news
Quote: | You will need to send me a USERNAME and PASSWORD— just as it says on the current Register page.
Letters without these things will be ignored for woefully long periods of time. |
I have reached the point where I just can't be bothered to chase after people who can't be bothered to read. Letters asking for registration that don't include a name and password will be towed out to sea and blown up. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

DB,
I would assume those who are interested in the subject of this site should be "above average readers".
Maybe that should be an admittance test.
A board czar's job is never done.
God bless you and your patience.

i don't know about you, but when i see grievous errors such as the inability to follow clearly stated instructions, i harshly judge.
this especially when it's imperative for voice talkers to read correctly.
i mean ... isn't that what we do, fer feck's sake?? _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

Agree with you Maggie.
I am currently sitting on a judging panel for a juried media scripting competition sponsored by a professional organization I belong to. The rules are clearly spelled out for how the entries should be submitted, the form, the length, etc. All but one of the entrants followed the rules; one did NOT. Yet, he/she is expecting to be taken seriously. He/she will not be... as I will be marking them down for ignoring the rules. Yet, in the end, they'll probably think we (the judges) were being unfair... _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

Wait a minute.... they said there would be no reading necessary, only voicetalking.
