James,
Some observations for you:
Like the "FLAVA" cut---sounds up, and real at the same time. Sounds like you are in your element on this one.
With the trailer and the "dirt bike" cuts, it sounds like you are forcing your voice into an unnatural place.
Still not sure on the "jazz" piece. It felt less forced but still somewhat overdone.
I feel that your production quality is good. If these were actual demo cuts I would say get your voice front and center sooner.....

I'm guessing that in order to produce the clips you were working in isolation.
For inclusion in a demo to get you up and running as a Voice Over - No. You are trying to be a Voice Over rather than communicating an idea in a mood, style and tone.
I'm as sure as I can be that demo's should not be solo projects. Ideally you need 2 people involved from beginning to end. |
