I'm going on a short journey up the highway to Raleigh, NC on Sunday afternoon. My primary goal will be to help Rowell Gormon get his voiceover blog back up and running and perhaps help him with a few other computer issues to the extent of my limited abilities.

But, while I'm there, Rowell and I are hoping that at least a few of our friends from around the Carolinas can join us for an informal, Dutch treat (Edo, this is just an expression in the States meaning we each pay our way) meal at the Golden Corral here...

1504 US Highway 70 W
Garner, NC 27529
The restaurant phone, in case you need it, is (919) 772-6603.

We'll be gathering for dinner at around 6:30 PM. Thanks to some email responses, we know at least a few will be there. But let me or Rowell know if you're going to be there, so we can get a table big enough to hold everyone.

Hello all,

Long time, no type. I wanted to post a couple of pics from this gathering.

Shows that everyone seems to be happy. (And proves that I'm still alive and well)

And here are the talented Souer & Son.

In retrospect, I wish I would've gotten some pics from inside Rowell's studio. It is quite an experience!

So long for now...

I miss you guys! <sniff sniff> And look at the shirts! I guess I was almost there.

Rowell's studio is awesome. Part studio, part museum.

Brian,

Rowell's studio is indeed a wonderful place, a land all its own. I could spend 20 years there and not get to the end of all the fascinating nooks and corners and places to look. We had a delightful time on Sunday. It was so good to catch up with Donovan, Vance, and Rowell and to meet Brian Bowman.

And Mr. Hart, it was Eric who suggested that he and I wear those shirts so that, even though you couldn't be there in person, you'd be there in spirit. It also came in handy when Brian Bowman arrived as the shirts helped him find us.

Looks like fun! I hate I missed it...but we finally had snow on the NC slopes- so I was skiing!

(and considering I am still limping from the snow boarder that lost control and slammed into me at the base of the mountain...I should have gone with you guys!!)

thanks for loaning us your camera, donovan. but having been positioned in front of the group, i seem to have hogged all the available light (and depth of field)!

i guess this shot gives the term "belly up to the bar" a whole new dimension!

Bob, Rowell,

It was great to meet you guys and to eagerly pick up the morsels of experience you dropped on the table.

A class act, all, and yes the shirts were great. I was dreading the eavesdropping circuit that would have happened without them.

"Pardon me, sir, but what does the term 'normalize' mean to you?"

Donovan,

Glad to meet you, sir. Great voice, btw. Good luck to Coach Lowe and the boys.
