CNN International decided that at the correct local time it would be nice to say "Welcome to 2006". Shrewd business people that they are they got the slots sponsored. Yesterday evening during an ISDN session, not including wild tracks and re-takes I heralded the arrival of 2006 a total of 26 times.

I wonder if anyone will see these productions.

All we have to decide is whether we want chilli or mint sauce, salad and onions, open or wrapped. While these cosmic decisions are being made 2006 will slip neatly into our lives along with a free can of coke.
