I just got off the phone with Jack Nicholson, and Bill Clinton was kind enough to call us yesterday. Gotta love primary week. You get all kinds of interesting calls.

Scarlett Johansson has called me three times in the last three days. I never really thought of us as being that close before.

Wow, Jack Nicholson never called me. Probably he tried, but the line was busy all day with calls from Bill, Hillary, B-Rock and their friends.

When its political season, I have 16 phone lines installed and hook them up to a old DOS machine with 4 ROBO Calling Cards. Then I let the local candidates that are affiliated to my party use them for outreach.

I also do the list development work and I know that likely voters are the top of the list. At 6 to 10 cent per call it get costly and they want to get the party faithful out.

Congratulation Bruce and Connie, we now know you are likely party faithful and a part of the process and that is a good thing.

The family genealogist came to the family reunion about 5 yrs ago and sprang the new on my wife’s family that, William Jefferson Clinton is a relative. The family is about half and half (politically) and you should have seen the other half getting nervous about that new. You see there was one NC State Rep. and one County Commissioner there and being related to Bill was not good for business.

Maybe some day Hillary will call.

In an effort to be a non-partisan post no political party has been mentioned or endorses.

Nobody famous is calling me— just endless pollsters asking me about my alliance in the upcoming caucus.

Yoiks.

I hang up on 'em or tell them that I don't do phone polls.

What I can't stand are the push pollsters, shoveling partisan points of view as supposedly "non-partisan" polls... it all goes well until they get to the "did you know so-and-so beat up his/her spouse?" type of questions...

Caller ID. If I don't know ya, it goes to voicemail.

I'd pick up for Ronald Reagan though.

So what did you ask Jack, Bruce?

I like to turn the tables on the live callers and start asking them questions about their work, what they like to do when the are not working, their affiliations, are they married, how much money they can send to me via PayPal for my inconvenience, you know - the easy stuff. They usually hang up.

The recorded ones... I say "Hello!", there is no response for 30 seconds, adn I then hang up. It's easy.

Toodles

I let them all go to voice mail so I have their message on tape and can imitate their voices for fun and profit.

My folks weren't fond of the idea that they have a common ancestor in Massachusetts back in the late 1600's. I told them they were lucky to be THAT distantly related. They each also had different non-related ancestors that came over on the same boat during it's only voyage back in the 1630's... The only presidents I've found a relation to are Millard Fillmore and Calvin Coolidge. Can't get too much more bland than that, I guess.

Greg,

I don't know. My only presidential relation (3rd cousin of great grandparents) was William McKinley.

Bob, you and I are related. William McKinley is in about the same place in our family tree. I'll have to get out the old family Bible and check.

Cousin, dear cousin can you put us up for a few months? I could use some extra cash. Can I borrow your lawn mower?

So nice to have family.
