Yeah, that was the sales pitch at GoDaddy.... that their templates and even the way they were hosting the .mobi accounts were all designed for the hand-held viewer.

I chose to get their free web hosting for small sites (and mobi is small!) when I registered, and it had a .mobi template that worked.
I tested my mobi page out here http://ready.mobi/launch.jsp?locale=en_EN
Granted, my mobi page is just simple text at the moment, but I'll take 4 out of 5. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

i used to own anthonymendez dot com, but let it lapse late last year.
on jan. 22nd i received an email from a company saying that they acquired it via an auction. they went on to mention that since i own the .net of it, i should buy the .com from them since it's a stronger domain.
out of curiosity i clicked on their link and the price was... $257 US !!!! Oh, and that "includes the first year of registration FREE!" LOL ya don't say?
NEway - last night i logged into my NetSol account and there was a notice telling me that "these following domains are available." And there it was - anthonymendez dot com. i, of course, bought it, but it wasn't at a rate any higher than their regular fees.
I love NetSol - they have been nothing but helpful since I started using them back in college (forgot what they were called back then). Yes, there are cheaper places to register domains, BUT those tend to have hosting attached with it and I don't ever register domains with my host just in case I need to move to another host, I don't want them tying up my domain and causing delays. This way it takes me literally 15 minutes to move to a new host (taking into consideration propogation but i leave the old one up for a 2-3 day overlap).
PEACE.

I think they were always called Network Solutions.
Also, while there are some registrars who throw in cheap / free hosting services, these are never strictly tied to domain names, and if a registrar doesn't allow you to specify your own host (for web or anything else), then they aren't following the rules and can lose their registrar accredation.
Even Network Solutions tries to bundle hosting and other services with domain sales.
I do agree, though, that they're generally helpful. _________________ Lou Zucaro

thx for the info lou.
oh - about their name - they were born straight out of the original govenment's InterNIC. if you remember InterNIC was the only source for domain registrations and the website was run by Network Solutions (and one of the telecoms I believe). Then when ICANN came about, they became officially Network Solutions. Or something like that.
EDIT: You're right about that theyre "supposed" to let you set the DNS to whatever you want - they DO, but they're never in a rush to do so.
PEACE.
