I've mourned the death of the pronunciation of "route" as ROOT. Bubba six pack has had his way, it's evidently ROWT. American English will eventually be tailor-made for people who can't open their jaws. Especially as more people (like me) move south. It's all good.

One of my favorites is hearing people say "strenth" instead of "strength."

| I'm surprised nobody's mentioned meter-ologist. Granted, meteor-ologist may be a bit tougher to say but one would think if you ARE one you'd practice. |
