I've done tech support and system administration, network engineering and the like.
Try security engineering... you'll know what true pain is.
/for the record, I used to carry a 5Lb. chrome mallet with me to the lab when in the Comp Sci classes. I had a little skit I'd do, threatening the computer when it would do something stupid.
//Professors thought it was hillarious... more so when we found out that the errors were with the compiler or CPU itself; it WAS the computer being difficult
