Guys, this is bad. I'm in a spa getting a pedicure and checking vo-bb on my blackberry. Less than 24 hours and I'm already an addict.

I just wanted to say thanks to all for the warm welcome & I'll come back to reply in more detail when I'm not getting my toes polished.

CC- the good news is there's an anime convention going on in Boston this weekend if you want to check it out.

The bad news is you're from beantown, I'm from new york, and someone just mentioned baseball.

Speaking of baseball. We are in week three of a five-week run on Bleacher Bums - about Chicago Cubs fans.

Oh - and the addiction is inevitable...

By the way Lou, PLEASE tell me there's a recording of that speed racer thing floating around somewhere.

In a similar vein, did anyone catch the video from the Annie awards where the cast of spongebob revoiced scenes from classic film? Too hilarious for words.

Yipes...I'm not sure...it was probably 7 or 8 years ago and I dunno if any of the same people are at that station, but I'll look into it. I'd almost forgotten about it until this thread!

Oh my gawd. I used to go to a spa in midtown called "Just Calm Down" and there'd be people in there blackberrying during pedicures. I went there to get away from everything...

Figures there'd be an anime thing this weekend in Boston -- I've been down with a nasty crud the past week; finally got to the see the doc yesterday and he said it was a sinus infection. Planning to spend this weekend resting up and eating antibiotics.

As for the baseball: I'm a Rockies fan. Wink

Ray... Welcome to the VO-BB.
I can't add anything to what has already been said. You seem to be fitting right in. There's more knowledge floating around this place than most people know about. I'm not into "toons"... that doesn't mean I don't watch an occasional pixel or two. It looks like your interest in anime goes back a good 5 years or more.
See you around the threads.
Wink

I'm a sucker for the classics, like Lou.

My husband and I also have the entire Family Guy collection on DVD- what a riot! I'm not as up on current anime (with the exception of a couple I've done voices for), but I'm hip to the older stuff.

Honestly, my current addiction is WonderPets. That 'toon can suck me in like nothing else. Sad, I know. I need to have a baby so I can use that as my excuse Wink

Welcome Ray whom I now know I met 2 years ago at a Pat Fraley event!

Liz and I grew up 10 blocks apart on what we used to call "the formerly fashionable Upper West Side". Thanks to us, it is now gentrified Smile

I know you'll like it here.
