Coffee is a diuretic, or more accurately, caffeine is a diuretic which has the effect of drying you out.

All right then, it's time for me to begin a regimen of coffee and cigarettes all day, and a bottle of scotch at bed time. No wait a minute. I think that's been done before!

Thanks, Jeffrey!

Hey Jeff!
I have to say I HAD to have ONE "cup o' joe" yesterday morning to wake up!....but switched to herbal tea after that.

I think it has something to do with the caffeine affecting the vocal chords....but it differs for people....I do need to stay away from it before long sessions usually.

Ressurecting this 'cause....It's 5am...have to be on a bus at 6:15am to be in the city by 7:15a (Port Authority @ 41st & 8th) to have time to walk over to 26th & 6th for an 8AM session (3 lines in English)...then walk over to 35th & 8th for an 8:45am session (5 lines in French) to be back on the bus by 9:30am to get back home by 10:30am before Mom wakes up! (Brian is staying home a bit later till I get home .so I can do these short sessions!)

Liz, that's SOME powerwalking! I used to walk from my monastery cell in a building at 26th and 7th to an office at 16th and Park Avenue (Union Square) every morning back when I lived in the city as a paht-time New Yorker. On the mornings I was in a hurry it was a hike! Usually I took time out to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells... especially (some of) the smells! Those times it was more of an amble...

Did you get it all done and back home in time for mom?

Hey CC!
YES! I got it all done! It was actually really cool getting in to the City, walking to one session, getting that done, then off to the second one....It was just cool! cool

And I made it back to the bus with 20 minutes to spare! (I swear each session took 15 minutes...WITH the set-up included!)

Yep...I love my job!
