I don't know if this has come up before, so excuse if it has.
How many here use plugins (VST or DX) with their DAW?
I happened up on a website with some very cool VST plugins. http://www.voxengo.com
I tried out the Voxformer plugin and it's super nice! Plenty of presets for just about whatever sound you want. They also have many FREE plugins including a TubeAmp plugin and a "Beeper" plugin (for watermarking). I grabbed the TubeAmp and the Beeper to try out.
Any opinions on the use of plugins? Just curious |

I use VST with Cubase and Waves Diamond Bundle with Cool Edit Pro 2. I think if you mixdown spots and imaging, it takes a combination of hardware and plugins to acheive "that" sound. I track with the hardware pres and comp's then sweetin' up the final mix with the plugins. |

I use the tubeamp plugin all the time.
I really like the look of the Voxformer one, but haven't pluncked down the cash for it. For what it's worth, Radio and Production magazine gave it a good review. That's how I found about Voxengo. Their Pristine Space reverb is supposed to be excellent as well. |
