I need to go ahead and order some cable to make the runs into the booth I'm building at home.
We use Belden 8451 at the radio stations for all our audio runs. Easy to work with. But since I have to order some anyway, I though I would ask if any of you have any experience with anything that might be better specifically for a mic cable....other than that stuff that's $10,000 a foot.
Which reminds me I need to order more XLR and TRS connectors. So much to do, so little time.
EDIT: I really need to finish my thoughts before I decide to post I suppose.
I know there are better options for a mic run, just not sure where to start.
I was thinking of something like this
I may know how to solder them, but I am definately no expert on picking them. Plus, seems to be there is a LOT of hype about cables and very little substance to many of the brands out there.
So anybody got any experiences to share? |

Check out www.redco.com I get all my cable from them. Great price and they can help with any questions you might have. You can buy them premade or what you need to make your own. |

Thanks Russ. Looks like a good site. Better price on what I'm looking at too.
I generally like to make my own cables. Although I have collected a box full of premade stuff over the years too. |
