I recently got a chance to sing some songs for a CG animated film which is due out sometime this year— the New Wompkee Movie or something like that.
This song happens when a whole bunch of little furry guys head out to look for a treasure.
The Wompkee March
The salient lead voice did two tracks, I am the rest.

I think it's got a great beat Dick, you can really dance to it. I'd give it an 80.
Congrats DB! _________________ Pam Tierney

The part of the crowd was played by DB Cooper.
Great harmony. Was it written or by ear?
It was very cool.

Neato! Were the voices processed or did you all sing that high?
You know I have to say, one of the good things about that song is that you can actually understand the lyrics...it bugs me when kids' songs are so overproduced that you don't know what they're about. Case in point, Tim Burton's remake of Willy Wonka. Blech. _________________ Lou Zucaro

Thank you!
I made most of it up.
There was one lick the engineer came up with that I had to write out on my page. I had to make little dots representing intervals, but any port in a musical storm, I say.
And Edo, station calls would be a scream to do!
Thank you all.

That would have been fun!
There's plenty that didn't get used.
I sang part as Buster, the fat Wompkee, with a bit of huffing and puffing and a distressed cry of "cave?!" after that word in the song. (I also sang "Buster's Lament" where he really IS lost in a cave.)
I'm glad they left in the joyous wackiness.
And all those were sung at the pitch you're hearing them— even the lead. _________________ DBCooperVO.com
