Glad everyone's OK ! We had tornadoes near us this week. LOTS of damage, but, thankfully, no one seriously injured. i stood in my garage and saw a couple of the cells pass by just to the north.

What was that book about the expected big quake centered around Memphis?

If you really want something to be afraid of, read the paranoia theories about the supervolcano under Yellowstone.

In brief: A massive volcano system that erupts every 650,000 years or so, blanketing 2/3 of what is now the U.S. with the aftermath of said eruption and destroying pretty much all life in said area. It's been over 700,000 years since the last one.

Many experts say it's not gonna blow any time soon. Others say "We're doomed!"

slept through this one ... as a matter of fact they say we've had 15 aftershocks since friday morning. i felt the 1st quake and one aftershock. the boys say they felt the 2nd at school. other than that - we've missed it all.

Now, don't get my husband started on the whole 2012/Mayan prophecy. It's gotten to the point where I won't even let him bring it up in my presence. He watches too much History Channel.
