If only! Deebs, I love you. Kiss Kiss Kiss

What a fantastic weekend, Mr B is a great guy to spend time with. I have brought home some very happy memories, not least Philip laughing like a drain at one of my jokes, mind you he might have had some of the falling down waters. Wink

From around 4pm until ...well until I was drinking pints of Stella Artois with a lemonade top, literally just a splash. James bought me the first and everyone else continued to buy me the same. When we got to "until" I changed to single malts and then on to Jack Daniels. Jacks Daniel's what? From the way my mouth tasted in the morning possibly his socks but then again may be worse, much worse.

David and I sped networked. We first sat at a table opposite 2 senior commercial production managers from a compnay called GCAP. They spend around $1.5 million on voice overs. My greeting was direct.

"If you ever telephone me with a job offer I'll call the police!" David rescued the situation by hitting me four times over the head with a Jerusalem Artichoke stolen from the hotel kitchen expressly for that purpose.

Sounds like a great time. Great pics too.

Mr. B only smiles when a pretty lady sits on his lap I can see. Can't blame him.

Sorry Moe, I missed your post on my first scroll through, I was so stunned by Deeb's comment, for that she will have my undying admiration and deep respect as she is so obviously a woman of great taste and perception.

Magic Elixir, hmm we do all know it, its just that after taking it out of its bottle we forget we have taken it, we also forget its name, our names, our wives names and to call home and check the children are OK. Its also very difficult to pronounce until you have drunk it and its only when you have drunk it that you can order it from the purveyor of magic elixirs.....catch 22!!! Its literal translation from Gaelic is 'Pretty water of life that dances in the light and makes you fall down and say stupid things while thinking you are the life and soul of the party and as funny as Jackie Mason on a good night.' How the ancients in our culture managed to get all that into the single long sound 'Shmaaaaaashamaasssahs' I will never know. Wink

NOT Voice 2008, VOX 2008.

Damn straight. Network, party, repeat.

Classes, smashes, set up another round.

Voice 2008. Over 30 of the top coaches in the world, most of whom no one really know all trying to sell you their wares. If that's your thing, lovely. As for me, thanks but no thanks. Sitting through 8 hours of "How to make your vowel sounds compell and sell in a mime audition" is not my idea of how to spend time away from the coal face.

Vox2008 - A largely social event with a slight business spin. It's starts at 2pm on a Saturday and you can be on your way home after breakfast on Sunday.

If you have money to burn come over here and spend a few days in Portgordon. Free bed and board, studio if you need it and you may even learn something that will make you some extra money - Hah! The gauntlet is cast!

Righty ho Mr B, Linz, the three babies and I will be there later today, 2.30 suit you, I would be there sooner, but I have just bough some shiny new gear and I want to play for a wee whiley.

Best regards to the ever patient Anne. Wink I promise the girls won't try to burn their wee hands off as they did when we visited our mutual elderly lady friend. Gasp

David,

About Brodie, missing her (as it were) is one of my only regrets about my time in Scotland last month. I had planned to fly in to Inverness so we could give her a wink as we drove up to Portgordon; but alas the flights to and from were booked solid. So, to Aberdeen we went and that was lovely, too.
