It's reasonable in that they are paying people $40 for reading a page of script from the comfort of one's own home studio. If they actually wanted somebody to record a professional voiceover whilst reading, I assume they'd have to pay more.
Isn't it great how it's perfectly acceptable to allow inexperienced people to speak off camera, but they'd never in a million years allow a noob to go on camera. It's not like a disembodied voice draws attention to itself or anything. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

i like this part:

presumably you don't have to know how to interpret copy, read well, act, emote, deliver any kind of message, or care about rates _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

I find it interesting that if you have experience you can submit some previous work but also need to include a resume. If you don't have experience well then just read the Ad.
Now lets ponder this for a minute. Does this mean I could take 30 or 60 seconds do a straight read mistakes and all. Then take another minute to send it off. So for two minutes tops I can make $40.00. That means for a cumulative hour of my time I can make $12,000. Hmmmm See ya later guys I just remembered I've got something important I've got to go do.
