|
|
Hey everyone...
I know this has probably been covered before, but tonight at midnight the $100.00 dollar early bird discount expires for attending Voice 2008!
The really great thing, in addition to receiving the discount, is the fact that you can register with as little as $100.00 dollar deposit and pay the ballance by July 25!
I know there has been some concern regarding the cost, and also some negative comments about the show itself, but I am VERY excited and plan on being totally prepared this time. After all, it IS in Los Angeles!!
Looking forward to seeing all my Voice Acting friends that I've missed all year...
Peace,
Youssef |

Latest news... If you missed the deadline last night.
Quote: | The early-bird died at midnight last night, poor little guy. BUT he must have been a Phoenix, because he's coming back to life for 3 more days. At midnight Sunday, May 18th it's off to "early-bird heaven" for him for good this time.

I registered, so I'm in, and for me this event will be a good thing... but there definitely doesn't seem to be the buzz that last year has. Might be because last year was the first time they ever did it, but I guess we'll find out in a few months.
I'm looking forward to it. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

I'm in too!
Personally, I'm fine if there aren't thousands there. _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

I think there are many many many reasons why this isn't all a buzz last year...however, I am not at liberty to go into those. I will say this...they couldn't pay me to go. |

Perhaps... as in Horton hears a who... they need one special voice that they're waiting to hear.
That one special voice that will exclaim loud and clear... I AM HEAR!... I AM HEAR!
To hear that one voice... Jim and Penny would beg.
That one special voice... could that someone be Greg?

you would choose the guy that who's pretty much under the radar compared to the rest of the gang...
if it's a good show, I'll speak the truth. If not, I'll be pretty brutal with my honesty. Considering certain habits and proclivities of mine this ought to be interesting.
/put it this way, they no longer worry about getting me a badge at most events or conventions/expos... I usually end up backstage without them _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

I've actually witnessed that. Not the act, the result. |

yeah, the Adams from Funi owe me some major $ for getting past all the security at the Javits center. I warned them not to bet me on that...
If I'm at the San Diego Comic Con, we'll try it again, but it seems that their physical security is tighter.
The true fun will be in October... the gauntlet was laid to sneak past everyone into the studio when I visit them. Shouldn't be too big of a problem _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

Rachel,
that's the thing... nobody notices what I'm doing, and that is what makes it so hilarious.
The closest I've gotten to stirring up trouble was freaking out the events manager for an animation studio I know when Bruce introduced himself at the San Diego Comic Con (when the head of security says he's looking for you, people have a natural tendency to be concerned).
A few drinks down the road, all was forgiven. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser
