"The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their right names” – Old Chinese proverb Found it on line, honest I did. Smile

I pay therefore I get an opportunity to play, not a bad deal.

I'll see your Chinese proverb... and raise you one proverb from the word of God.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" - Old Hebrew proverb. I found it on line... and in the Bible (Proverbs 1:7).

Isn't it in the rules somewhere that we can't have religious platform debates? My god is better than your god....?

I'll see your bible quote and raise you one wise saying:

Call a spade a spade!

It's pay for play cause that's what we're doing. Laugh

As folks over here say:

ya pays your money, ya takes your chances!

Cheers gang!

Call a spade a spade.
Quote:
To speak plainly - to describe something as it really is.

Comparable to a Chinese or Hebrew proverb?... probably not.
Wise saying?... meaning, you would be considered wise to describe something as it really is?... probably not, in a double standard world.

Quote:
Isn't it in the rules somewhere that we can't have religious platform debates? My god is better than your god....?

Rule #3... Keep religionism at bay, please.
Quote:
Religionism - religious zeal, esp. when excessive or affected

Unless I am overruled, opinions are acceptable until they become debates.
If this is a debate... let the hammer fall.

to me, originally, pay-to-play was all about unfair recreation fees! in oregon, for example, one must pay to park at a designated trailhead (TH), pay to enter a park, pay to climb above 4000' (mt. st. helens, for example). all this on public lands. so ... the argument goes that we taxpayers pay twice! trouble is, congress makes appropriations based on receipts at those designated parks, THs, etc and reduces the appropriation by the amount collected at them.

what does this have to do with VO and p2p? i dunno -- are you paying twice for the same thing? like paying for membership and then paying for it mentally with reduced rates for posted job? are voice seekers reducing their "appropriation" because they use p2p sites and pay for that use?

i am just an observer, not a user of p2p.

but those rec fees make me pazzo!
