Yeah, the new picture is great, Dave!
My only caution re: something like a granite texture in the background is it can make it tricky if you need to, at some point, allow the site to "grow" to fit new content, because a pattern like that may not tile properly where you want it to.
Even something like this (again, this includes areas being re-aligned) might be better...

GETTING REAL CLOSE!
The web-page is nearing completion (well about as close as you ever get to a constant work-in-progress)...
They fixed "demos" (no apostrophe)
The flash players are active on the front page.
I've added and deleted some content details here 'n' there.
All we're waiting on is the demo links on the demos page to be flash players instead of links to launch a quick-time or WMP player.
I realize not every last suggestion made by some of you is going to be incorporated...but I can't tell you how much every one of you influenced the final product.
Click HERE to see the 99% completed project.
I love you guys! Let me know if you need contact info for this web designer. I'd recommend him in a heartbeat!

Dave... The site looks great... well balanced... nice Ichthys.
The photo looks much better... maybe a little less lipstick. _________________ "Bailey"

Demo's short for demonstrations so should have an apostrophe to signify missing letter/s. Although I fully accept that there are no rules for "non words", only opinions. If we are going to split hairs then you have "MP3 audio examples". Mic is an MKH416 or do you really own an NKH?
The site is a "hire me as a voice" site - One page is enough.
Establish - Your sound, your credibility, your quality and establish contact. You do the latter by giving them your contact details. |

Philip, I hope you're just busting his chops. Otherwise...here we go again.
(FWIW, I still vote no apostrophe.) |

Mary...I had to look it up on Wikipedia myself
It's the Christian symbol fish at the bottom of Dave's index page (& that you see on car bumpers all the time!)

The point was that the rules are "there are no rules" so in this case visual impact is more important. My concern would be how anal one has to get when a website site stands or falls on the basis of an apostrophe, particularly a questionable one.
Click on a Voice Over website and start counting down from 5 to zero. When you get to zero close the window and answer the following question - Why that voice? If you don't have the answer then the Voice Over needs to rethink their web site. |

The rule about there being no rules is a good one, however, should you decide to put something on your site, make sure it's correct.
I'm not sure I would say visual impact is the most important thing, since it's a v.o. site, but the visual impact definitely should say "professional" at the very least.
Beyond that, whatever else is there should fit nicely and, hopefully, not include mistakes _________________ Lou Zucaro

Ok... Let's see now... No apostrophe in Demos.
And is it voice over or voiceovers?

Or voice-overs?
Don't remind me. We just went thru this with Randy's book. Not sure what the publisher decided on.
Dave, I can't wait to check out your site... going there now! _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!
