Had a couple of things waiting for me in my e-mail tonight. my wife was putting the newborn to sleep, i was puting the other to sleep after a bath, and figured i'd just bang them out afterwards.
well the newborn just didn't want to fall asleep... and after giving mom a hard time, i was called up to pinch rock. got him to fall asleep, but of course the second i put him down in his crib he's wide awake. rock him to sleep again, put him down, wide awake. he's not hungry... it's been only an hour since his last bottle. i was really hoping to get to these scripts tonight (one less thing tomorrow). so what do i do? bring him downstairs, and voice the scripts while holding him in my arms. (he's not too keen on his swing when he's this cranky.) and while recording he falls asleep (guess the copy wasn't too interesting). finished, put him in the crib, stays asleep.
now i can catch up on a couple of shows on my DVR.
think maybe i'll try this again next time he's fussy at night.
