Can I just say that the gang here at VO-BB rock!!!

I say this because you wouldn't believe the negatives coming from others regarding the Simpson cast's salary.

This group of extremely talented folks put FOX on the map. And what they get paid, even with this new raise, is a fraction of what their voices bring in financially to the studio.

Good for YOU all for being able to send such nice kudos to this cast! May you all, in some way or another, get YOUR own Simpsons!

Not only are those people extremely talented actors who MADE those characters (and, as you said, helped put FOX on the map), but the Simpsons has been on the air for 19 flippin' seasons...and funny the whole time!

How many comedy programs are funny for 19 seasons? Oh, wait, there ARE no other comedy shows that have been on for 19 seasons!

Sheesh.

Ok, I suppose you could count both Hee Haw and The Red Skelton Show as comedies, which did run for longer than 19 seasons, but they're not narrative comedies, so they're really a different kind of show. And they're not still on the air. And a lot of younger people don't know about them anymore, so I likely could have gotten away with not even mentioning them. Forget I ever did.

Yay! Three cheers for the very talented Simpsons actors . . . and for the vo--bb for being supportive Smile

Even beyond the amazing creativity and acting skills they bring to the table, it seems only fair that if Fox is making more money from their talents, they should get a pay increase as well.

I loved watching Red Skelton when I was younger.

Bingo!

I've got no problem with FOX paying them more for what their hard work and talent have brought to the corporation and studio. As you said, it's a fraction of the revenue generated by their efforts.

To the haters... meh.

Bob B.,

Don't you realize that voice acting is just talking into a mic? Besides, my brother's friend's cousin can do all the Simpsons voices perfectly and would be thrilled to do it for the low low price of a bag of Cheetos and Jessica Alba's phone number.

WOWZERS! Yep, that's definitely something to visualise and dream about and work for.

Well done them! And...well done us, for every step forward that we, personally, take!

That brings their annual salary up to near what an on-camera film star makes per picture (but for a lot less work than the voice actors put in).

Their job security seems higher than that of a film actor though.

Gettin' there!
