Sounds good to me, Philip!

When I was Curator of Birds at the University of Michigan Museum of Zoology, there were a couple of graduate students who had been undergrads at Berkeley and they brought their Peet's Coffee obsession with them. I don't know what kind it was that they liked, but it smelled like skunk and the odor filled the hallways.

The Division of Mammals was just down the hall from us, so sometimes it got confusing.

Don't care much for Peet's coffee...at least the kind you can buy and bring home. Always winds up leaving an aftertaste like soap.

Best Father's day gift - ever was two years ago my kids chipped in together and bought me a Keurig single cup machine. Until then I was brewing a half pot, then microwaving subsequent cups after the first one (you can imagine what that was like) , as I was pretty much the only person in the house who was a coffee drinker.

Now, it's a fresh cup whenever I want it. The K-cups on sale cost me about $17.00 for 50 which is, what, less than .35/cup? I can handle that. I can try different flavors when I want to and I've actually discovered a palatable decaf. Oh happy day. I was drinking about 6 - 8 cups a day until the doc (no, not our Doc) advised me to lay off. Now I have my one-a-day caffeinated, then the other 6-8 cups are decaf.

Not since my early 20s have I touched the stuff... no intention of starting now.

On my schedule I wouldn't have been able to function without it for the last decade...
A few years ago the in-laws gave us one of these for X-mas. Love it, especially the Starbucks discs.
