Happy Father's day to all you wonderful VO-BB dads!
Papa in 1957
Check out the phone!
My dad - or as I called him "Papa" - has been gone just over 5 years and as I continue on my entrepreneurial path I am finally realizing how much my dad loved what HE did.
He was a Doctor. That really was not just WHAT he was but WHO he was. He practiced medicine until he was 75!
I hope all you dads had a GRAND day!

Happy Fathers Day to all fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers. My father passed away four years ago. He took up oil painting once he retired and I have most of his work to remember him by.

My dad passed away 32 years ago... at the age of 46. What I miss most of all are the long talks we could have had,
My son and daughter stopped by the house in the morning. Two nice cards... two nice shirts... and two nice hugs.
Then I went off to work at the San Diego Fair with my crew (college students from abroad) of... 2 Irish lads... 6 Irish lassies... and 1 Scottish lass. After 2 days of working together, my broag is coming along quite well.
I also tried a name-drop with them. They all gave the same response... "Who's Philip Banks?" _________________ "Bailey"

Hey Bailey - we're planning a trip to the fair this year - let us know where you hang out and when you'll be there!
(Just realized what thread this was - sorry! Thanks to everyone who posted pics and stories of their dads and grand-dads. I have been thinking of my dad too and wishing he was still here.) _________________ Playing for a living...
