My wife and I went to see the new Indiana Jones movie a couple of nights ago. I guess it speaks volumes that the thing I remember most is that Harrison Ford actually said "nucular" instead of nuclear! His character is a professor so I'm not buying that it may have been because of the role he was playing. It's one thing for presidents to screw it up, but a professional? |

If that's the thing you remember most about that movie, count yourself lucky! _________________ Lou Zucaro

Woah there... Carter was an engineering offer for a nuclear power plant.
He was more of a professional than most and still couldn't properly pronounce the word. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

Yoda, I was thinking along the lines of a professional actor who should know better.
And Liz..glad I could help. FWIW, he gets it out of the way earlier in the film, so you might enjoy the rest of it. Although, as Lou implied, let's just say it's not exactly Oscar material. But to be truthful, I wasn't expecting it to be. We were looking for a way to kill a couple of hours, and that was the movie with the nearest start time to when we arrived at the theater. |

Don,
My wife Cinda and I enjoyed the movie a great deal. But, I'm quite sure I've heard Harrison Ford say "nuclear" correctly in other movies, so I suspect it might have been an intentional mispronunciation. _________________ Be well,
