I've been away for many days--for all I know this has been addressed in the last week and a half.
But ... I doubt it.
Looking for/needing a studio with ISDN for a session Tuesday (or Wednesday) July 8 (or July 9) on the Big Island, in the vicinity of Kailua-Kona.
Anyone? Or perhaps you've done work for an agency who might have a recommendation?
Mahalo in advance. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

Connie--I'm betting you're in Hawaii in your mind. Kinda like goin' to Carolina ...
Going to HI tomorrow, client wants to sked gig Tuesday. I discovered I landed the gig last week, between stays and cell signals, in Forest Svc cabins in the Pacific NW. So I commenced phone calls and details on my sked, and thought I had a connection on the Biggie but I don't. Today I spent some time looking at sites, inc. Production Hub, and making a couple of calls, and suggesting to assoc. prod. at ad agency that is hiring me that they may have an in or get a referral from an agency in HI. Agent is ... uh, punting.
Clincher? National tv vo. ... I think. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

Ahh.
I had the same thing happen when I went to San Francisco last time— but I had a local friend who could recommend a few places and the client chose the studio. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Hope you had fun in the NW. I was just in the Hoh Rainforest and Ruby Beach a couple weeks ago. Today was an epic day in the Columbia Gorge on the river with 20' river swells to rip and carve in 30mph winds. Yep I'm a windsurfer. Another great July day in the Pac NW. |

Bob - I sure have a lot on my mind - Hawaii wasn't one of them until this thread. In the beautiful Hudson Valley right now - at least a week - probably more - as we get my mom out of the rehabilitation facility (knee replacement) and back into her house...with changes. It's the changes that are keeping my mind occupied. _________________ Playing for a living...

I'm flying to Honolulu tomorrow to record at 9a Hawaii time, at Audio Media Inc. fyi, then dashing back to the Biggie for some, well, who knows what? Got the mobile rig ...
Who knew vo could be so adventurous??!
And Eddie, I know the winds were mocking. Holy hell. I skied Mt. Adams July 3rd. . _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

an hour and a half session, 4 spots, 5 tags, 2 agency VO versions, alternate lines for intros for each spot. it's true: anyone can do voiceover. it's THAT easy.
should you find yourself in a similar position, in hawaii and needing isdn, i've surmised the main game in town, and a nice studio at that, is audio media inc in honolulu.

Isn't it great when you go on a trip and then the trip gets paid for...or even well beyond the price of your trip with a gig? Good for you Diane!
It happens everytime I leave town. Going to LA this week. I anticipate great things. LOL! _________________ Ben

Wow... I'm checking in here from my Great American tour; we just stopped in Jackson, Wyoming for the night. Read your travails with Big Island production; I found out last year that there wasn't a good studio on the island, but apparently that will soon change. A friend of mine who works there said he's heard some glimmerings...
Okay... back to my vacation...
