Sweeping generalisation based upon the radio stations to which these people listen.

I always thought "Talk Radio" particularly the smaller stations in the USA was irony. Could it get worse? Oh yes ...Podcasts! The home of the free has gone global as a concept. Sadly it means free from, wit, wisdom and basic language skills.

I feel the same way when someone says... "plug an sm57 into that mackie for this session...it's only voice over."
OK sorry about the thread jack.
Philip you are right about the language thing. I find it incredibly interesting that many top level managers can't even spell...let alone speak correctly.

now I wonder just how many errors this post has..*sigh*

I'm thinking that an audio seminar on how not to write bad copy is in order.

my favorite is still robert klein's made-up public service announcement:

"are you illiterate? write for free help, care of the address on your screen."

amazing how many people in the biz wouldn't get it.

there's a famous commercial that's local to Philly where the then-mayor (Wilson Goode) did a just that for a PSA.

it was hillarious.
